The heart and soul of the Clubhouse movement is found in our relationships with each other. Although we are not able to be together, it is important to remember that we are not alone.
The San Angelo Clubhouse community is still alive and well, and working to keep everyone engaged and connected. We have video calls twice daily, socials at least once a week, and deliver meals weekly. We are continuing to focus on health and wellness of our members, as well as assistance with employment, looking for education opportunities, community outreach, and other important aspects of the Clubhouse.
Our staff is still hard at work every day, and cannot wait to show off surprises we have in each unit when our doors reopen.
We are in unchartered territory. We encourage Clubhouse members and staff to stay connected with their Clubhouse community, locally, regionally, and internationally. We may be apart physically for now, but remember the words of the Clubhouse founders more than 70 years ago, when they told each other, "We are not alone!"
We will get through this, together.
